Illustrated, large slim 8vo, pp 48, paperback, very slight signs of wear to the cover , otherwise a very good copy. [Desmond's article 'Walter Hood Fitch, 1817-1892: a centenary tribute' comprises seven pages; Meikle's 'A Fitch Reminiscence' runs to three pages. Other articles include George Argent's 'The Rhododendron teysmannoii enigme' with a coloured plate of Rhododendron brookeanum by Fitch, and Sysyn Andrews' "A Forgotten Cultivar of Myrtus communis". Five other plants are described - Centropogon cornutus, Neomarica caerulea, Tropaeolum peregrinum, Camptosema scarlatinum var. pubescens and Rhododendrob 'Princess Alice', each with a coloured plate by Fitch.
